■ PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
- NILBURN NP is a phosphorus/nitrogen based halogen free intumescent flame retardant for polyethylene, polypropylene and their copolymers. It is specially formulated with surface treated phosphorus and nitrogen chemicals of high heat stability and high flame retardancy. It has good compatibility with polymer.
■ CHARACTERISTICS
- High heat stability
- Low smoke and toxicity
- Low affect on polymers’ mechanical properties
- High efficiency - UL.94 VO at 1.6 mm in polypropylene at 30% loadings.
- Enables the compounding of Flame Retardant polyolefins with low density, high elongation and high
impact strength.
- Limited water solubility.
- Small particle size.
- Neutral pH in aqueous solution.

■ SUGGESTIONS
- It is suggest to use mineral oil to improve wetting if granular PP is used.
- It is suggest to add about 1% of TiO2 or 3% silica in the formulation to enhance flame retardancy
and improve the luster.
- It is also suggest to add in about 1% PTFE to enhance flame retardancy if possible.
- The processing temperature is prefereably at 180-200℃.
■ PACKING
NILBURN NP is available in 20 kg drum.
